Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa
Dr. Shamanur Shivashankarappa was born on June 16, 1931, in Davangere as the second son of Smt. Shamanur Savitramma and Shri Shamanur Kallappa. Having studied up to the Intermediate level, he pursued a career as an industrialist and has rendered continuous service in the fields of business, education, and co-operation.
In the co-operative sector, he has been serving tirelessly with Bapuji Co-operative Bank since 1972, holding key roles as a Director and later as President. His vision, leadership, and dedication are the prime reasons that have elevated Bapuji Co-operative Bank to a leading position among urban co-operative banks in Karnataka. With our RuPay card, customers can withdraw money from ATMs of any bank across the country, make transactions through Point of Sale, and avail RTGS/NEFT facilities. Through our bank’s own IFSC code (IBKL0364BCB), customers can directly transfer funds to their accounts conveniently.
Overall, our aim is to make Bapuji Co-operative Bank a model institution in the state, expand its operations beyond Davangere into other districts, and extend our excellent services to a wider community.
